Monorail covering the artificial island of Palm Jumeirah The Dubai Monorail is an elevated monorail open on April 30, 2009 that runs along the artificial island of Palm Jumeirah in its entire length, from Gateway station to the Atlantis hotel (Atlantis-Aquaventure station) From Gateway Station descending after two stops (Nakheel Mall stop) you can visit Dubai's new attraction the Palm Tower with the observatory (The View at The Palm) and its pool with views (Aura Sky Pool) The Dubai Monorail is connected with stop number 9 of the Dubai Tram, but unlike the tram and metro it is not managed by the RTA (the body that manages public transport in Dubai), this means that the Nol Card (silver or red ticket) does not allow you to use the monorail. The entire journey on the monorail takes 15 minutes, and thanks to its elevated structure you can admire several structures otherwise not visible. As soon as you leave on the right you can admire the Logo Island (private property of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, along with his 159-meter yacht) in the background you can admire the Burj Al Arab Continuing you can see the exclusive skyscrapers, but the view becomes spectacular admiring the various wings of the palm tree with its exclusive villas by the sea. Each of them has one side on the road with a private garden and one side on the Palma beach. The most beautiful and exciting part of the monorail trip is the approach to the Atlantis hotel, you can admire the private beach on the left, while on the right you pass by the pools and slides of the famous Aquaventure park Atlantis was the first completed facility on the entire Palm Jumeirah and today is one of the most famous attractions in Dubai MONORAIL STATIONS : 01) Palm Gateway (monorail starting point / reachable by Dubai Tram) 02) Al Ittihad Park (Palm West Beach stop) 03) Nakheel Mall (stop Palm tower attractions : - Nakheel shopping center - The View at the Palm observatory - 220 meter pool with palm view Aura Sky Pool - Club Sea View) 04) Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark (stop - Hotel Atlantis - The Boardwalk) 05) The Pointe (last monorail stop - The Pointe "shops and restaurants by the sea with Atlantis views and the world's new largest dancing fountain The Palm Fountain" ) HOURS AND PRICES : every day from 9:00 to 22:00 / one way prices 20 AED (4.80 euros) round trip 30 AED (7.20 euros)
