Monorotaia che copre l'isola artificiale di Palm Jumeirah


La Dubai Monorail e' una monorotaia sopraelevata aperta il 30 aprile 2009 che percorre l'isola artificiale di Palm Jumeirah in tutta la sua lunghezza, dalla stazione Gateway fino all'hotel Atlantis (stazione Atlantis-Aquaventure)

Dalla stazione Gateway scendendo dopo due fermate (fermata Nakheel Mall) potete visitare la nuova attrazione di Dubai la Palm Tower con l'osservatorio (The View at The Palm) e la sua piscina con vista (Aura Sky Pool)


La Dubai Monorail e' collegata con la fermata numero 9 del Dubai Tram, ma a differenza del tram e della metro non è gestita dalla RTA (l'ente che gestisce i mezzi pubblici a Dubai), ciò significa che la Nol Card (silver o red ticket) non vi permette di usare la monorail.


L'intero viaggio sulla monorotaia dura 15 minuti, e grazie alla sua struttura sopraelevata si possono ammirare diverse strutture altrimenti non visibili. Appena partiti sulla destra si può ammirare la Logo Island (proprietà privata dello sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, insieme al suo yacht di 159 metri) sullo sfondo potete ammirare il Burj Al Arab


Proseguendo potete vedere i grattacieli esclusivi, ma la visuale diventa spettacolare ammirando le varie ali della palma con le sue ville esclusive sul mare.Ognuna di esse ha un lato sulla strada con giardino privato e un lato sulla spiaggia della Palma.


La parte più bella ed emozionante del viaggio in monorail e' l'avvicinamento all'hotel Atlantis, si può ammirare la spiaggia privata sulla sinistra, mentre sulla destra si passa accanto alle piscine e scivoli del famoso parco Aquaventure

L'Atlantis e' stata la prima struttura completata sull'intera Palm Jumeirah e oggi e' una delle attrazioni più famose a Dubai
